So it's been a pretty eventful weekend, one that's actually worth writing about for once and not just having the usual crap which makes up my regular weekends, and weekdays, at the moment. Saying that, D-Day is drawing ever closer and a month after that, providing I actually get the results I need, I'll be off to University to actually kickstart a life which has been lying dormant for some time now. Anyway, my weekend is under the cut.

Since the 28th was my brother's birthday he decided to go out downtown on the Friday to celebrate and he felt kind enough, well his girlfriend Nikki did, to invite me to spend the night clubbing with them. Since I was off work for once I gladly accepted and went to meet them around 10pm downtown on Friday. My parents had been giving me plenty of hassle about the drinking thing again, after what happened at my 18th birthday party, but I assured them that I wouldn't throw up everywhere like last time since I hadn't been drinking all day like I had on my birthday. Still, my Mum thought it good to remind me about 200 times on Friday before I actually got downtown.
Firstly we went to the Old Red Lion pub and had a few Stella's there while sitting around not talking about all that much. I always start the night off a bit boring, but after a few drinks I tend to become a completely different person as I would find out yet again. I actually think it's for the better because I become far more confident, talkative, and up for a laugh, than I am when I'm sobre. I won't go as far to say I'm really boring when I haven't had anything to drink, but I like it much better when I've had that confidence boost. Next we went to Paradise Island where the bouncer thought it good to let my younger brother and his girlfriend walk right by while he checked my ID. The bouncer's have these new little UV light keyring's which they can put over the hologram on your ID to see if it's fake or not. After a few seconds of trying to find the hologram on my passport he declared what a 'piece of shit' these new things were, said he believed me, and handed the passport back. We had a few drinks in there and my brother wasted more cash on the bandit (which is really not a good idea) which he seems to be doing a lot more of lately.
We went to BB-11 next, where I was asked for ID again, as was my brother. Since my brother had no ID they wouldn't let him in so we turned away and headed off to Calamity Janes instead, who at least played some pretty decent music. The DJ pumped out 'Weetus - Teenage Dirtbag' which brought back some fond memories, followed by 'Sum 41 - Fat Lip' and many other classics, which were a great change from the usual dance shite. I could have gone to Hellbound and listened to decent music there but my brother and Nikki aren't into all that so I had to put up with the normal clubs.
While we were in Calamity Janes Kay rang me so I rushed outside to actually here what she was saying. Kay's just as awesome on the phone as she is online but I probably made a fool of myself speaking to her when I was pretty much drunk. She has such a cute voice, and she's probably going to kill me for saying that but I'll get over it! I talked to Kay outside for a while, interuppted by a girl who asked me for 50p and then hugged me when I handed her a quid, and then we made our way to Garden Bar (A gay bar). Since I was still talking to Kay I told them I would join them inside in a minute but they came back after Nick was asked for ID yet again.
Walking past a food vendor I had the sudden urge for a hotdog so decided to buy one, or be bought one as it happens. Cue trying to hate a massive hot dog and talk to Kay on the phone at the same time, which ended up with half the hotdog being thrown in a bush. I kinda wish I could eat that hotdog now as I love them, but it probably only tasted nice because I was off my head. Lastly we went up to Xs, where Nick and Nikki work, and after getting in for free fond it to be almost completely empty. After a while they turned the music off and the staff just sat around drinking with a few regular's. So we talked there and then Kay rung again, so I handed the phone around to random people and Pete, a 30-odd year old, spoke to her about Harry Potter for some reason.
After embarrasing myself by asking what a 'dirty stop out' was, we made our way back home and Nick went off to Nikki's for some strange reason. I talked to Kay even more, which was awesome (acuallty I never put the phone down from talking in Xs, in the taxi and at home), but I probably bored her to death as she said she was tired and had to get up for work soon. Then I just sat around for a while, before finally crashing out in bed.
Saturday
For some reason I actually felt pretty good the morning after and got up at 10am to get my hair cut a little. It's strange how I was less tired and managed to get up earlier than I would have normally done on regular days. I didn't get much hair cut off because I'm liking it long at the moment, and I told her not to touch the fringe at all.
My sister also came back today, only to stay for the night though while she went to her friend's birthday. Apart from that not much else happened, work was the same as usual with Lynn in a pissed-off mood yet again, but then again nothing ever changes there.
Sunday
Sarah, my sister, had to go back to Sheffield today, so we went back with her to have a meal where she works and she where she lives. Like usual we got lost on the way and Sarah had to keep ringing her boyfriend Ian, who's actually in Switzerland at the moment, for directions a couple of times. We got there a little late but they still served us the meal since Sarah works there and they are really kind. We stayed in the pub for a while, listening to old people talk about how great Sarah was and then drove to her new house. The house is not exactly in an upscale area, it's actually pretty rough, but since it's students I wasn't exactly expecting luxury. She share's her flat with two girls and two lads who live in the flat above hers. It's pretty small and scruffy, especially the bathroom which has a black ceiling since it's all been covered with scum. The living room is smaller then a box room, there's not even enough space to spread your legs so I don't know how the hell they watch TV in there, although the two other girls have got their own TV's in their rooms. Her first year home was apparently excellent compared to her second year home, so it's probably just what happens to most students.
Although the flat seemed pretty crap it's not put me off wanthing to go to University and I'm actually looking forward to September even more than before now. To put it simply 'I can't FUCKING wait!'
Again though, I'm shitting it about results day, which is about 17 days away now. Anyway, that's a wrap up!"
